I am putting in a 50 amp breaker in my has 3 wiresblack white and green. Do the black and white go to the breaker and the green to the ground?stan

You should have a red &, black
Code white is common
Code green is ground
With the colors you are work with this is not for a 240 volt 50 amp service. For the amps & volts you are running. You need to run 8 gauge.
Please be carefully hooking something up wrong could kill you or your family. If you run to small of a wire you could START A FIRE and burn the house down.
A white wire can be used if you mark it with red or black tape at each end and it is 8gauge wire Then yes if hooked up correctly it can go to breaker.
I don't know what you are hooking up but please be careful.

Well i attaching a four prong power cord to a washer and im looking for some help with the wiring configuration. (the red, green, white and black)

Hi, Red and Black are the hots. White is the neutral and green is the ground. Typically on a connector block the 2 hots red and black hook up to the 2 outside terminals and the neutral goes in the middle. The green hooks up to the chassis on the machine. There is normally a green nut to indicate where the green hooks up to. If you have any other questions please feel free to comment. Mike

Jenn-Air 30 in. Under Cabinet Hood had no instructions on how to

This is a straight forward wiring project involving 110 volts of electricity and a 15 amp circuit.

If there is already power available at this location use it. If not, run a wire to the cabinet above the hood location with enough extra to drop down into the hood area and hook it up.

Once you have the power wire in place it is just a matter of hooking the wires up black-black, white-white, ground-ground screw.

enjoy your new hood.

Wiring hookup

The 2 black wires on the hood go to the black from the wall. The 2 black on the hood is in case you want separate switches as 1 is for fan and 1 is for light. The green goes to the bare copper wire. Its the ground. And are you sure the wire is yellow? It should be white and connect to the other white. This is the neutral.

Miele DA230-2

The latest DA230-3 hood is a 120V 15amp model and has a black/red wire to live, a white wire to neutral and a green to ground.

You may have a 220V model. I suggest to have a licensed electrician hard wire according to the voltage, load, and circuit rating listed on this data plate.
