"12" is no error, no problem. Also, if you unplug TV power, you lose all errors in memory.

1985 front projection mitsubishi

There is a PIP board in this set that has to be replaced or jumped out. If you have soldering and printed circuit board experience, doing this should be no big deal for you. But if you do not, have someone experience do it for you.Good Luck

Black horizontal lines appear after tv is on for 30 minutes

Kellia,

I had the same problem with our VS-55705 Mitsubishi. It seemed to me that this was a problem of heat.

I unplugged the TV and then took the cover off of the back of the it. I then used canned air to blow off the collection of dust from the components. Then I vacuumed as close to everything as I could without touching any of the components. I then used glass cleaner to clean up the surface of the three bulbs.

I plugged in the TV and it has worked perfect ever since. I haven't put the rear cover back on it yet. That could have been all that I needed to do to fix it. I'm too busy enjoying a nice picture to try putting it back on. Cleaning the bulbs really helped the quality of the picture.

Good Luck!
