Matag dryer not heating

Here is a link to maytag dryer repairs http://apcoappliancerepair.wordpress.com/?s=maytag+dryer . The most common problem is the thermal fuse. My question is. Does the heating element start to light. If not...... and you have changed the ignitor and thermal fuse. Then check the flame sensor to see if there is continuity threw it. Power to the gas coils and ignitor runs threw the flame sensor. CLICK HERE to see a flame sensor on a GE dryer. They are the same on most units but Maytag will be on the opposite side of burner chamber.

I have a maytag performa electric dryer with no heat, checked fuses, replaced heat element and thermostat, any ideas

Have you checked to make certain you have the proper voltage where the dryer is plugged in? 220v? A dryer will run on 110v but requires 220v to heat. Could be a problem with the breaker in the breaker box. If you are not familiar with electricity, I suggest you find someone knowledgeable ie professonial

No heat

probably just the heating element. If that isn't it, you might have a bad moister sensor. It tells the dryer to stop heating once the clothes are dry. My first suggestion is to check the heating element, they go out all the time. Usually there is just a tall narrow cover of them, so you can check them without disassembling the whole back of the dryer. Goodluck

Maytag atlantis dryer does not heat

Perhaps the thermal fuse is open. All thermostats and thermal fuses should be closed for continuity at room temperature on this dryer.

I HAVE A MAYTAG ATLANTIS GAS DRYER STOPS HEATING ABOUT 5 MINUTES IN

the flame going out is normal. the heat cycles on and off as called for by the thermostat. If the heat doesn't come back on i would start by changing the gas coils.
