Question about iRiver H10 MP3 Player

Freezes hi, my iriver h10 freezes when i copy things onto it but it only happens sometimes tho??

Reset by removing and reinserting batteries
iRiver H10 - Missing System Files
You must be connected to the internet for this to work: 1.Download the MTP Firm Updater Utility from iriver website - iriverinc.com/support (Audio Jukebox --> H10) 2. Unzip file, run .exe file, go thorugh wizard (if you are not in mass storage mode, it will give you instructions on the wizard on how to change this) 3. Select Recovery 4. Finish going through wizard 5. disconnect iRiver from computer, and wait for it to update - your player should be good.
If the problem happens again, then uninstall Windows Media Player 11 from your computer and rollback to Windows Media Player 10 (you will NOT lose any songs by doing so).

Iriver, H10 , system files missing

Lost h10 iriver installation disk

As a work-around you can copy files with Explorer to the Music folder and use the Browser on H10 to play them.

download the firmware off of the iriver website. all of the files will be erased but when you recopy them onto the iriver, they will play.

Freezing during Synchronization


This link at thw bottom will let you check for operating software updates - try this and see if it solves your problem. If not, try ripping your cd's first using a media player or dedicated ripping program (there are many) (my recommendation is windows media player, but set rip type to mp3 not wma) then try to sync with your h10. They don't make a battery for the player. My experience with iriver is that they only replace your player with another refurbished one if it's under warranty. Contact iriver.com and go to support, they will help you to a certain point. Sounds like some music files are corrupted, did you download them from Limewire? Lots of nasty stuff out there. Remember your player is a Hard Drive just like your PC and can be damaged by improper disconnect from your PC. Regards, John H.
