I have recorded a personal announcement as Outgoing Message, and am only using 1 of the 2 lines. Have tried every possible combination of setup - changing phone cord input from "Line 1+2" to "Line 2", and configuring both lines to use the Personal Outgoing Announcement. I have it set to Answer Line 1 - ON (but have tried either line 1 -2-or both on). The unit still wants to use the default message instead of my personal msg. When I try to set it to personal, I press Sel/Save and it just shows "Empty". I know the msg. recorded OK, because I can play it back. I just want it to play for my callers - on either line, I don't care which! Please advise. Thanks!
Record the message for both line one and line 2, see if that helps.

Hi,
A 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Recording the Outgoing Announcement
For best results when recording, you should be about nine inches from the microphone,
and eliminate as much background noise as possible.
1. Make sure the answering system is On2. Press and hold the announce button on the base.
3. Begin speaking after you hear the beep.
4. Release the button when you finish your announcement.
NOTE: If you choose not to record an outgoing announcement, a default
announcement plays instead. To return to the default announcement after
you have recorded your own outgoing announcement, press the announce
button and release it when you hear the beep.
Sample Outgoing Announcement
"Hi, this is (use your name here), I can't answer the phone right now, so
please leave your name, number and a brief message after the tone, and
I'll get back to you. Th anks.

It's the same. You cannot record a personal outgoing message even when following the instructions to the T.
Exact same issues here. Neither line will accept my personal message. I have followed instructions very closely.
I'm having the same problem.... been trying forever and nothing works
Same deal. I recorded my personal greeting on both line I and 2, but it
reverts to the default OGA as soon as I exit. I've tried everything. The
whole reason for buying this model was to have a reliable answering
machine for my business with my own outgoing announcement.
I will tell you this is the second one of these phones that I have had the first one I thought was defective. As mine would actually take the message and play it for months hundreds of times and then just one day it would not work, playback, outgoing whatever. I had 19 messages that I cannot access at all!!!! I returned this 1st one, the 2nd worked for a while and then did the same thing! I think they are JUNK.
how do you change the outgoing message 2 back to OMG 1
