Question about Epson Stylus Multifunction Inkjet Printer/ Copier/ Scanner
I have an Epson CX 7400 and it wont load the paper. It acts like it wants to but it wont load.
I had the same problem. If you call Epson, they will send you another printer out. I did this, and they didn't even ask me to send the old one back. You do have to have the serial number handy though. My suggestion is to call Epson.

SOURCE: Epson CX 7400 WONT LOAD PAPER
The reason: number one it is an Epson and all their printers have very weak plastic gears in the paper loader mechanism that break easily when you unjam a paper jam. You have to treat these printers like fine China. That is why you see allot of Epson printers Refurbished.
Buy a Canon if you want at least three years of no problems with their paper loading mechanism. Almost any other printer manufacture builds a better printer than Epson, Sorry for the bad news.
Usually you just buy a new printer when you have these paper loading problems, also try to see if the printer is jammed still with a piece of paper, or maybe some dirt or lint and hair, blow it out with compressed air and make sure the rubber roller paper feeder is turning, if not then you can buy a new printer for cheap these days. Usually a new printer cost the same as the replacement ink for the printer, so buy a new printer. Printers now a days are disposable especially Epson.

Tips for a great answer:
Dec 16, 2012 | Epson Stylus Office Equipment & Supplies
this many sheets
Epson Bright White Paper
Epson Presentation Paper Matte
Epson Photo Paper Glossy
Epson Premium Photo Paper Glossy
Epson Ultra Premium Photo Paper Glossy
Epson Premium Photo Paper Semi-gloss
Epson Premium Presentation Paper
Epson Premium Presentation Paper Matte Double-Sided

If the paper jams, do
1. Gently pull any jammed paper out from the output
tray or sheet feeder.
2. To eject the jammed paper, try turning the Epson
Stylus NX400 off and then back on.
If that doesn't work and paper is stuck inside, turn off the Epson Stylus NX400. Open the scanner, remove the jammed paper and torn pieces, close the scanner, and turn the Epson Stylus NX400 back on.
