What you want to do is skip the channel when using to channel up and down buttons on the remote from what I understand.
What you do is press menu on the remote to open up the setup menu.
Use the arrow keys to navigate. From there highlight "Installation" and press "enter".
Select "Channel Options" and press "enter" and the list of channels will be displayed.
Scroll through the list and find the channel you to want to see and press "enter" a check mark will appear. If you make a mistake just hit "enter" again to remove it.

Q.Why are the menu settings that I changed not being saved?
The TV is in Showroom mode. The following steps will help you switch to Home mode.
Press Menu button from the remote,
Press Down arrow key until you see the word Picture, then press the Right arrow key,
Press Down arrow key until you see Mode, then press the Right arrow key,
Press Down arrow key until you see Power Up, then press the Right arrow key,
Press Down arrow key until you see Home, then press the Enter key,
Press Menu button four times to exit out from the OSD Menu.

Q.Why does my TV display "No Signal" or "Channel not in List"?
Channel search needs to run the very first time of use or after the default settings are loaded from the OSD menu. The following steps will guide you through the process.
Press Source button until Tuner is visible on the upper right corner,
Press Menu button from the remote,
Press Down arrow key until you see Setup, then press the Right arrow key,
Press Down arrow key until you see TV, then press the Right arrow key,
Press Down arrow key until you see Auto Channel Search, then press the Right arrow key,
Press Down arrow key until you see Air (for antenna; select Cable if you have cable service), then press the Right arrow key. The scan process will start.
Wait until the process is complete then you will be able to select the channel you like to watch.
With remote, hit MENU, (use up/down arrows) & scroll to SETUP. Hit ENTER & scroll to TV. Hit ENTER & scroll to AUTO CHANNEL SEARCH. Hit ENTER & scroll to CABLE. Hit ENTER & scroll to AUTO. Hit ENTER, wait as it scans (about 5 min). Your done.
I assume the control panel on the tv still works correctly?
If so i would think you have a remote problem.

It appears all you need to do is run a channel scan on the unit. Once you have run a channel scan, you will be able to scroll through the channels using the channel up and down buttons.

press the menu button in the middle of your remote and scroll over to the middle tab that's labled "TV" and then scroll down to "auto search". click on this option by pressing the right arrow key on your remote so that your T.V. and "re-scan for channels. It might take awile. I took me about 5 minutes but for majority of the time it was stuck on 45% while it was scanning.
