Re: Same IPAQ -New Computer

You should just be able to sync it with the new computer. The data from the IPAQ will be synced to the new computer.

My iPAQ 5555 won't charge.

well that's really the problem when u go ur phone stocked for a weeks or two. i have my advice.. try charging yout battery manually. how is that? modification is needed. remove your battery from ur phone. and connect it to your charger directly.. (how is that? create a wire that can connect your charger to your battery. make sure u connect the right polarity) in this way your battery will charge for a moment and will give enough power to turn on your phone. because showing up that orange thing when charging up needs an initial power. so that is why. but still u can charge your phone. just live it maybe for an hour. it may work!

Ipaq 4100 problem syncronizing with outlook on new laptop

you are now using outlook 2003 , probably cache , this means all the email is on your laptop. when you sync it will sync all the email (thousands). initialise your ppc (back to factory default). set up the sync via usb cable. then sync via bluetooth . then you are fully sync. now setup an auto backup of your email data (daily). if after some time , you have sync problem again , initialise the ppc, restore from backup and you are back to sync (last full backup). try this , you will never need to do it all again.

SD dectect error on 4 bit

Dear Andy ,
its a common problem in3900 series iPAQ.
If the Secure Digital (SD) Card slot on your 3900 series iPAQ has stopped working this is the repair service you need, this process involves de-soldering the complete faulty SD socket from the iPAQ main board and a brand new SD card socket being re-soldered onto the iPAQ main board.

So please contact any authorised iPAQ Service center ,to fix this problem.

I can't install a certain HP update.

1. Download the SoftPaq to a directory on your hard drive.
The file downloaded is a self-extracting executable with
a filename based on the SoftPaq Number above. 2. Establish an Activesync connection between your iPAQ Pocket
PC and host PC.
3. Execute the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions
to install the Real Time Update.
4. Follow the instructions to perform a normal reset on the iPAQ Pocket PC.

on step 3 you should see the setup on your pdas screen do you see this?

Waiting for your reply. :)

Replaced " Jornada" to " iPAQ" - How to keep/recovery all datas

So if you sync your old one to OUTLOOK on your PC, I would simply install the new Activesync and create a new partnership for your Ipaq and the data should be transferred.

Outlook 2002 Reinstallation

The default e-mail client on pocketPC 2003 is the "inbox" which is merly a utility for retreiving & sending e-mail. There is no "outlook 2002" on pocket PC's. The Outlook 2002 installation cd comes with most iPaqs and is intended for your pc, not your ipaq.

Need to take note of the com port assigned to bluetooth serial port on the PC. Connection must be initiated each time from the IPAQ ie go to buetooth manager and connect the activesync shortcut.

Please help! Cannot sync....

You need to install Activesync onto your PC. Activesync comes on the CD that came with your Ipaq , or the latest version can be downloaded from here... http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=2eb5bd80-d52c-45 60-ae11-da92f2b229fa&DisplayLang=en Then from your PC (not your IPAQ), open Activesync, click on File, Get Connected and do NOT cradle the IPAQ until it tells you to. The Activesync on the IPAQ is for wireless syncs, which cannot be done until youu establish a partnership with this first wired sync. You will need a wireless network to do a wireless sync.
