I dragged three folders into maxwell dvd+r. My driver is pioneer dvdrw dr-td08hb ata device specification. I thought they are already written on the dvd. Then, I removed the dvd without safety remove, then when I insert the dvd again 2 of the folders disappeared. How can I retrieve back the lost folders?

I had the same problem. Go to the link below and follow the directions. Don't worry if you don't have a lower limit directory. I didn't and it still worked. Before restarting go to the device manager and uninstall the driver. I have a similar computer to yours and when I restarted it automatically reinstalled the driver.

your drivers may have been corrupted or you might have a virus run your antivrus program
you might have to physically unplug the leads for this cd-rom then plug them back in this should activate the found new hardware wizard or
you might have to uninstall then reinstall your DVD/CD or uninstall the driver then reinstall for this device
click start control panel admistrive tools, computer management, device manager scroll down cd dvd rom drives right click you will see options to update driver, roll back driver,or
select properties general troubleshoot, select driver click to reinstall drivers click update driver or uninstall then reinstall
make sure that the cd-dvd burner is getting enough power test all leads that are attached to the dvd burner including electical extensions and make sure they have a secure connection or just replace them there might be bad/faulty or

if this does not fix the problem it might be a registry problem
Close all open programs

Click on Start, Run, and type regedit and press Enter
Click on the plus signs (+) next to the following folders

This folder is the DVD/CD-ROM Drive Class Description in the registry. Look for any of the following names in the right hand column.

Lower Filters.bak
If any of the above keys shown in step 4 are listed, right-click on them and choose Delete

After deleting the keys, close the registry editor

Open My Computer and check to see if your CD or DVD drives have returned. You may also want to open Device Manager and verify that the yellow exclamation and error code on the CD or DVD drive is gone.

My pioneer dvdrw dr-td08hb ata in my HP pavillion is not burning anything, I try changing the blank cd and dvds brand and also empty out most of my hard drive, try uninstal and reinstal it again and still...

If your not a PC guru then try removing DVD from device manager and reboot
if your a geek try editing your registry and remove the upper and lower filters from this HIVE HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}

Pioneer DVDRW DR-KW08HB ATA Device driver issues

To me that sounds like something got corrupted with Windows, if you have a restore CD, or know how to reinstall your OS I would recommend that, AFTER you back up your files though as you will lose anything you had saved on there. But that could fix it, or it could be the drive is bad also.

Pioneer DVDRW DR-KD08HB not working on HP Pavilion Solved the problem once from fixya and now the problem returned. Anyone??

You should really give more detail on the issue for people to solve the problem quicker. If you can't see the dirve on your drive list but it show up under device manager and getting error 39 you can try the following link.

Disc Drive won't read after upgrade to Vista Ultimate

I had a disc Drive that wouldn't work for a while. There are a few things that could be wrong. The first thing I would try is to make sure it's pluged in all the way to both the Motherboard and the Disc Drive. Maybe it wasn't secure in there and when you bumped you computer just a little bit, it got unpluged. The wire connecting the Disc Drive to the Motherboard is probably your thinkest wire, can't miss it.

this next thing I would try is to delete the driver for your Disc Drive and then restart your computer. It should detect it automatically and have it running correctly.

If all else fails, go to Google. Type in the name of your Driver and search for an install that is supported on your operating system.
