Question about HP iPAQ HX4705 Pocket PC

1 Answer

Is an audible alarm software available?

I want to buy the HX4705, but it has to have the capability of sounding several multiple alarms during the same day. For example, I need one alarm at 9.55 a.m. to remind me to go to a daily meeting, another at 11.00 am to remind me to take my medication, another at 3.00 pm for a conference call, etc. Does it have this capability?

Re: Is an audible alarm software available?

I'm not sure of the HX4705's capabilities to sound multiple alarms, but I have downloaded a free alarm program called Wolfclock to my iPaq rz3715 which I use for the exact same reasons (meetings, wake up, take medication...) Try this link: http://www.pocketpcfreewares.com/en/index.php?soft=1045

Alarm quit working, Blackberry pearl 8130

I wonder if changing your theme would fix this issue. It might be a corrupt theme? You might be able to also get the Alarm Pro which is an add-on software. The other thing you can try is changing the volume level. Put it to loud if it isn't at loud or put it to normal if it is at loud. Some people have solved this issue by clearing the cache option too.

HTC PPC6800 WM 6.1 alarm keeps sounding

Did you set the alarm before the update? I've heard of similar issues and the only real way to avert this alarm is to have your phone actually have an alarm set to a different time.

Alarms will not work

I had a similar experience with my X51v. I solved it by looking to 3rd party software. The best one I've used to date is a small program that comes from Japan called GSAlarmClock. Definately give it a try. You won't be dissapointed. You can pick it up free from PocketPCFreeware

T-mobile dash multiple alarms

The solution is a follows; If you have any legit alarms already set, disable them before proceeding

1) As soon as the unwanted alarm goes off , look at what time your phone says it is and make a note of it. (if you know EXACTLY what time it goes off at, then go to the next step)

2) Goto Start -> Clock & Alarm -> Alarm

3) Set the alarm time for the exact time from step #1. Set alarm to On.

4) Click Done, done, and done

5) Goto Start -> Clock & Alarm -> Alarm

6) Change the alarm to Off.

7) Click Done, done, and done

That's it, the alarm should now be disabled for this unwanted alarm, if you have multiple unwanted alarms, repeat this procedure for each.

No sound is coming out my PPC 6700

I would try a system reset there might be something wrong with the PPC itself but you won't know until you try these other two if you are still experiencing difficulties synch your phone to the comp call in and have it reset to factory default settings and if it still isn't work take it in to the store and have a diagnostic test run on the phone itself sorry that is happening to you and I hope this helps :)

Duplicate alarms

I may be off base but might the problem be as simple as the frequency being set for the alarm. What I mean to say is, might the default reminder time for the alarm be set to such a low setting like sec's or minutes leaving the unit to repeat the alarm rapidly prior to your being able to dismiss/snooze. Good luck.
