Re: battery is low

It should take as long as it would if it were plugged into the wall. The power draw should be the same. Although you should make sure your car battery is up to it.

When I attempt to charge my moto q via an power outlet or car charger the charge powers the phone but not the battery. when I attempt to charge it by computer it there is normally a 30% chance it will...

I have the same problem with my iPhone. The only real way and best way to get a charge on a phone is through a wall charger. Car chargers and computer/usb to charge doesn't actually do anything but "top off" the battery. They don't produce enough power to give the batter a strong charge like the wall can.
That's my best advice. Charge from the wall when at home. Use the car to top off when your on the go.

My phone keeps turning off even when the batteries full. and then takes a few tries to turn back on.

had the same problem since New Year. Bought a replacement battery from eBay last week and now its back to normal. What ruined my last battery was using an in-car charger. Only ever use the wall charger, and discharge the battery completely at least once a month to keep in good condition.

Wheneve i charge it does not turns on.it keeps attepting to turn on till the battery goes dead.

Check your charger with a meter, that's the only real way, one can get a multi meter, very cheap these days and they can be very handy, I recommend you test the wall unit, and if it is faulty, replace it, that should recharge the battery too. Or perhaps the battery is faulty, you need to voltage check that too. Also sometimes it must be left alone for a few hours to gain a charge, after which it can be used normally again.

Samsung Blackjack II battery went completely dead and now the phone will not recharge. When plugged in, green recharge light will not come on.

Issue with either battery, charging port on phone, or charger. Attempt replacement of charger or different outlet first. Then battery replacement, about $50. Then phone replacement (hope you're eligible for warranty or have insurance if you don't want to upgrade).

Stand by time is about 12 hours

Couple possibilities:

1. Old battery: After a couple years of use, the battery simply can't hold a charge as well as it used to. If you are using an old battery, try getting a replacement.

2. Replaced battery with a NON-Brand name: If you replace the battery with a lesser expensive pack from china, they will typically use an inferior set of cells. Use only the name brand batteries for best performance.

3. You're in a location where you cannot pick up a DIGITAL signal. If you are roaming or unable to pick up a digital signal, the cell phone will constantly be searching for a tower wasting precious energy. For best standby times, make sure you are receiving a digital signal.

4. Battery charger malfunction: If you're accustomed to charging your battery with a wall charger, try charging it from your cigarette lighter in your car or with a different charger. If it works longer after doing this, drain the battery and charge again the way you usually do. If you're back down to only 12 hour stand-by, the usual charger may be malfunctioning.

5. Make sure your backlight is not on all the time. If your phone has a setting to keep the backlight on, turn it off.

Good Luck.

Apparently if you let the battery go completely flat it won't charge via USB and you'll have to use a proper plug in mains charger.
I've just had the same problem with mine and I've been searching the house high and low for the charger!
