In order to replace the belt on the LGR7646EQ3 dryer you will have to un-latch the top and remove the front panel. First unscrew the two screws under the lint trap. There are two plastic snaps under the front top cover at the front of the dryer. Use a screw driver or putty knife to unlock the snaps. Lift the top cover up but only about four inches. Unhook the front cover from the bottom by lifting it up. Be careful the drum will fall down a bit given the front cover holds it in place. Take the front cover off the dryer. You can now see the belt which rides around the drum and hooks into the tensioner and motor. You can buy a new belt, tensioner and rubber wheels as a kit to replace the old one.

I have a whirlpool dryer M460-G (SN#MH4612126 ? LGR7646EQ3). The dryer does not heat up. I checked the back and cleaned all the lint. The gas ignites and heats some time but not all the time and when it is...

Replace your gas valve coils!! They will allow the dryer to heat initially, but fail after about the 3rd or 4th iginition sequence.
Part number 279834 and are around $20.
They are located on top of the valve and held on by a steel bracket with two phillips head screws. Plug and play wires you cant mess up.
Fix it up!!

Dryer Drum does not spin

SOUNDS LIKE YOU ARE RIGHT. EASIEST WAY TO TELL IS PRY UP THE TOP PANEL. 1ST REMOVE LINT FILTER AND 2 SCREWS BEHIND FILTER ON TOP PANEL.. GET A FLAT BLADE SREWDRIVER AND TOWARD THE FRONT OF THE TOP PANEL THEIR R 2 BLK CLIPS ONE ON EACH SIDE PUSH IN AND THAT SHOULD RELEASE THE CLIPS ONCE YOU GET THE TOP UP. LOOK AT DRIUM IF YOU DONT SEE A BLACK BELT GOING AROUND TUB THEN BELT IS BROKE. PART # 341241 SELLS FR ABOUT 15-28.99. WE STK IT. ITS A VERY COMMON BELT. SHOULD BE ABLE TO GET LOCALLY. IF YOU NEED IT WE HAVE THEM.
