My LG microwave oven, purchased 10-26-07, is totally dead, no power. Purchased from Home Depot in Lenoir City, Tn. LG customer service gave me phone numbers of two repair service companies and neither one of them will service LG products in Loudon County,TN. Customer Service told me they would check around and see if they could find someone to fix my problem and they'd call me back in a few days. I have been looking at a 25ft. LG refridgerator with two doors at the bottom. I'm glad I found out about their service before I made that mistake.

If I were you, I would go back to Home Depot and complain about the response you are getting in dealing with LG. They may be able to get an RGA ( return goods authorization ) and send it out to their repair place. Home Depot owes you at least that much since they are the ones that sold it to you. Check with the manager of their appliance department first ! ( bigtime hint to follow: It has been my experience that you wil get the runaround from each and every one of these suppliers.. not just LG.. ALL of them.. some ae a little better than others but by enlarge, they all _____ <--you fill in the blank.. Good luck my friend.

I'm installing a LG lmvh1711st over the range microwave and need to use 4" bolts instead of the stock 3" bolts to extend from the above cabinet. Where can I get 4" bolts?

the thread in the microwave may be 6mm X 1mm or 1.5 mm
you do not state the make of microwave so assume that it is made in china . japan, korea ( all metric measurement countries )and has a local brand name attached
get the bolts from the local hard ware shop

Microwave oven coming on but not heating

I had the same problem with my Sharp OTR microwave/convection oven. I had 2 service reps out to look at it (Sears and Lowes) they both said it was the magnatron and would cost about $500.oo to repair it. I called Waverly's Appliance in Paris, TN and it turned out to be a diode. Total cost of repair was $35.00 including service call.

I need paperwork that can prove where and when I purchased my microwave oven as I cannot find the receipt. Do you have records that have this information. Mary W. Slavin, 205 Plaza Drive, Daleville, AL...

Did you contact that Home Depot? They may provide a copy.

Did you pay with a credit card? Your credit card company may provide a copy or may even cover it with an extra warranty.

Most manufacturers will allow you to sign an affidavit affirming that you purchased it on the date you say, then they will grant you warranty coverage based on that.

Some manufacturers may use the serial number or date code to prove warranty status. I know for a fact that GE will.

GE Customer Service is here.

Your State may have laws that give you rights like this. If all else fails, you could contact the Alabama Attorney General's office.

Good luck.

So the folks at Home Depot didn't run into the back room and get you the unit's box, manuals, and install kit, etc.?

Shame on them. I'd call them.
