Thermadore Stove Top Ignitors Won't Stop Clicking in the OFF POSITION

I seem to have the same problem as most of the folks had with their GE Appliance, except that I know in my case the stove top got soaking wet with water after my kids spilled a pot of water. How do I get it to stop over than unplugging the ignitors?

My ge monogram stove top burner( model zgu366h)continues to ignite. even after the flame is lit

If you are saying the clicking continues you must move the burner knob past the LITE position.
If it continues clicking with the knob past the LITE position the ignitor switch behind the knob is bad.

Ignitors clicking

Electric gas igniters sometimes get stuck in one position causing a clicking sound. The clicking sound that you hear is the electric arc that is pulsing from the igniter conductor (wire) to ground (the gas burner). It receives power from the electrical outlet that the stove is plugged into.
Residue from food and sometimes cleaning products may be preventing the igniter from producing a spark (Arc) to the base of the burner. This is a common problem that occurs when the stove has been cleaned or food is allowed to build up. Make sure that the igniter and the burner base are clean and dry. This will help with proper operation. Oven cleaner and a small tooth brush may be used to accomplish this. Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.

We are having a dinner party and our 5 burner gas pro series frigidaire stove top is clicking. I tried to turn off and clean the ignitors but nothing seems to work. Please help!!!

you have a stuck ignitor switch. they are mounted just below the knobs. you cant get to them until you remove the unit and then the top.
if you spilled water or something boiled over, it could get into the switches and cause this.
if you reach under the cooktop, in you cabinet, you can just unplug it from the outlet, or try to shut off the breaker to the unit. that will stop the clicking and you can deal with the repairs after your party.

GE Monogram ZGU48N6D- None of the Ignitors "click"

We just had that problem - the igniter is electric - if none of the burners are "clicking" it could be a power problem. unplug the stove and check whether the outlet is working. In our case, the outlet the stove is plugged into has a "GFI outlet with a reset button. So we reset the outlet and that fixed the problem.
