Question about JVC GR-D20 Mini DV Digital Camcorder

The only fuse mentioned in http://media-server.amazon.com/media/mole/MANUAL000049633.pdf was in the power brick that connects to the mains. Is there voltage coming out of that? Did you try an external charger? That's what I use since I (right or wrong) think I was to let an external charger take that wear and tear. Just so you know... this discussion notes that someplace charges about 45 USD (plus what?) for the schematic to find out more: http://groups.google.com/groups?hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8&threadm=34CF5417.6B4D%40fuse.net&rnum=3&prev=/groups%3Fhl%3Den%26lr%3D%26ie%3DUTF-8%26q%3Djvc%2BGR%2Bfuse Your post didn't reveal if a freshly charged battery worked.
