Question about HP iPAQ H2210 Pocket PC

How do I change the language of my Ipaq HP2210

I have sold my Ipaq to someone on Ebay. They want the language French. I set the regional settings to French but only some fields are in French, the rest are in English. e.g. the day of the week is in French but it still says things like "Tap here to see owner information". I have looked at downloads on the HP site and there is there is a ROM download, which I can do in French. If I download this will it resolve my problem ? Thanks for any help.

? & / keeps coming up as the french e

Make sure that your regional settings are correct. Go to Start-->Control Panel and open the Regional and Language Options control panel. Under the Regional Options tab, ensure that the two fields display English (United States) and United States, respectively.

Click on the Languages tab and click the Details... button. Ensure that the Default input language is English (United States) - US and that the US keyboard layout is installed under Installed services. If not, click the Add... button to add it and remove the layout that you don't need/want.

Good luck!

My new netbook is in French. How do we get it into English.

Hi there,

Well first of all you may Open Regional and Language Options in Control Panel, to open Regional and Language Options, click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Regional and Language Options after then you may select English Language. The Key Settings button is available only if you have added multiple languages or keyboard layouts.

Good Luck!!

I am vacationing in the USA from Switzerland. I just purchased a Nokia E71 cell phone and it is configured in English. How to change the language to French language?

the phone is region dependent.
what i mean to say is... if you have purcahse a phone within a region that has french as an alternate language you can definitely set your phone to French but if not then theres no way you can change the language to french with the phone alone.

you can check on this:

menu > settings> general > personalization> language > phone language.

Chose french windows instead english windows by accident and need to change it

Open Regional and Language Options by clicking the Start button, clicking Control Panel, clicking Clock, Language, and Region and then clicking Regional and Language Options.
Click the Keyboards and Languages tab.
Under Display language, choose a language from the list, and then click OK.
Obviously you'll have to work out the French equivalents of the options but should be fairly obvious

Stuck in french setting - need english

If you are using Windows XP (could beVista... but not certain)

Go to Start > Control Panel > Regional and Language Options:

Under your Regional Options Tab, be sure that it is set to English (United States) if that is where you reside.

Then go to the Language Tab, and under Text Service and Input Language, click on Details... be sure to select English under the Default Input Language. Click Apply to all windows and that should do it.

Changing language

You cant change your language on your laptop true control panel, you need to reformat your laptop in the English language. the options in control panel is just for your regional settings and keyboard settings and so on.

only OS that you can change language in is the Vista Ultimate and then you need to install a language pack.
