I’m not sure where you’re getting your videos from (Weather it be from your computer or some other place), but it sounds like the format is incorrect. Either the format is incorrect, file size is too big or the codec isn’t wanting to agree with your PSP. Read the instructions manual on your PSP to get more details on what Formats can be played. Or better yet, I’ll give you a quick list:

AVI (Motion JPEG)

Be careful of the quality size. The PSP can’t play high quality videos. Tell me what type a video you’re trying to play. Maybe we can get somewhere from there. And ask me anything you like, I’ll do my best to answer.

The Left button is not responding

Depending on how old your psp is, the button may have either a dirty contact or may have just plain lost its connection. You may have to take it apart to fix this, and this will void your warranty. Look up on youtube how to take it apart; and BE CAREFUL. There are some small silicon pieces inside with nearly invisible gold threads running through them. If these are disturbed and reinstalled incorrectly, your controls may either not respond, or they may go haywire. Open the PSP, get some rubbing alcohol and a q-tip, and gently clean the left buttons contact. Also, inspect for physical damage. once its clean, test it by turning the PSP on, and putting the front back on(don't screw it on yet). Try pressing the button several times to see if you get a response. WEAR LATEX GLOVES WHILE CLEANING; THE ACIDS AND OILS ON YOUR SKIN CAN DAMAGE THE CONTACTS. Let me know how it goes, and i will continue to help you if these steps fail.

Psp update problem

If only that game doesn't play, try others that used to work.

If no games play, I have heard of a bad CFW 5.02 that nuked ISO/CSO support.

This mentions that problem.

Otherwise, another recovery tool may help you downgrade.

Remember, when it comes to firmware:
read everything before you do anything!

I am not responsible for the choices you make or the steps you take with your psp. Doing it incorrectly may essentially destroy it, as many people have done to theirs.

Good luck.

UMD player says that region code is incorrect on every UMD I have. No matter where I get them, no UMD will play or even show up on my PSP menu. How do I fix this?

it may possibly be your PSP, did you buy it in another country?
because consoles made in other countries may only play the games from that country as they are encrypted for that countries games only.
hope i helped

Cannot open or copy - parameter is incorrect?

Are you using the same card reader for both memory cards? It's probably just your card reader. I had this problem before and it turned out to be my usb cable for my psp.

Psp problem

means the wep key you are entering is most likely incorrect. Go into your router settings check somewhere under wifi or wifi security. You will say it says wep or wpa look at the code that is on that screen and enter it in your psp. That should be the fix that you are looking for.
