For the DCT5280, when the outgoing announcement plays (after picking up) or after 10 rings and some beeps (the answering machine was off) when you call your phone number, press 0 followed by your PIN within 2 seconds. The PIN is a two digit code that you set when you were physically at the hanset or the base. (It's in the Ans Setup menu.) You will need to enter the 0 within 15 seconds of the machine looking for a response and the second digit of a command in 2 seconds of pressing 0.
