The display on my thermostat T8400C 1024 isn't working. Everything else works but the heat and the flame is not igniting either. Please help.

Sounds like a manual limit needs to be reset (thermal disc). Generally the manual limits are around the exhaust - backdraft, or burner assembly - flame rollout.

RTH3100C thermostat Have 4 existing wires; Yellow(cooling),white Heating) green (Fan) and red (power) WWhat terminals to use at above stat?

The RTH3100 is a heat pump stat. Your wires indicate that you have a 1h/1c operation. This is the wrong stat for your application and will not work.

I'm installing a Honeywell RTH7600B programmable thermostat and replacing a Honeywell T87F2873. The new one calls for a Red, Green, White, and Yellow wire, while I only have a Red, Green White and Blue....

Every thing the same except take your blue wire and replace the yellow for it. So when you hook it to t-stat goes like this

Red to R
White to W
Green to G
Blue to Y

the normal wiring for stats is white=w=heat,red=r=24volts,green=g=fan,blue=c=common,yellow=y=cooling.
see what ties into your furnace board and match the terminals.

Manual Thermostat replcaement with Programmable Digital unit.

Hopefully there are markings on the old t-stat as to what terminal is what.
on the honeywell 8000 use the heat pump labeling and then the standard wiring would be
R- red
AUX-white
Y- yellow
B- O/B
C- black
G- green
There should not be a bare wire, it probably just has the insulation stripped back way too far.
You should probably open the furnace and compare the terminal label in the furnace to the wire color. normally yellow and blue pass through the furnace and are wire nutted to wires going to the outdoor unit. In the furnace the white wire will connect to the w or w1 terminal. also, you will need to set the Honeywell stat to have the following parameters.
170-7
190-1
200-0
other parameters that I did not specify, you may read the manual and make your own decision but I recommend factory settings for the other parameters
