Hello;

you need to insert the recovery disk to the CD rom and then boot your computer from CD by pressing "F9" selecting boot menu. or refer to your bios manual how to boot from CD.

note: using the recovery disk will erase all your files on the hard disk.

may this help you.

DOG ATE MY RECOVERY DISCS AND I CANNOT RECOVER MY ACER EXTENSA 5420 NOW. I INSTALLED VISTA HOME PREMIUM FROM AN UPGRADE DISC AND I STILL HAVE THE PQSERVICE RECOVERY PARTITION. HOWEVER, I DONT KNOW HOW TO...

Hi,

You can launch the recovery option by pressing 'F10' on startup, or if that fails, you can do a system recovery from the ACER EManagement 'Backup and Restore' option in Windows itself.

My laptop doesn't wanna read my recovery disk cd

If your DVD drive is reading other disc, its probably a defective recovery disc
But are you sure you're trying to do the recovery correctly
Contact the support group of your laptop to be sure
Some of these processes are tricky if you dont know how!

How do i restore my toshiba laptop with the recovery cd, where can i get the recovery cd

Recovery CD is saved as a recovery partition on the system, which needs to be written/burn onto the CD/DVD.
Steps to create a recovery disc (Insert a blank DVD in the CD/DVD rom) -
1. Click Start
2. Select All Programs
3. Select Recovery Disc Creator.
Recovery Disk Creator
4. Within the Recovery Disc Creator select Create

If you dont have the above options, you need to call the tech support and ask for the recovery disc & it will be shipped to you.

I have a loptop of Acer Aspire5520.I have to formate now but i lost my system backup & restore disk. How can i get this backup.Pls let me know.

Normally , acer laptops have a hidden recovery partition on the hard drive , which contains all of the recovery data so you dont need the recovery discs.

When you boot up your computer and you get the Acer logo etc , try pressing keys to start the recovery - this puts everything back to factory default settings and erases your data.

Also , A program ships with the laptop called 'Acer Empowering Technology - eRecovery' which allows you to burn your own recovery disc - You then use this disc to perform a complete system restore.
