it should also show little white boxes some where on the same page that is the key board. Otherwise the manufactory should have a manual if you don't. Did you also try just speaking into microphone and say keyboard it might bring up the keyboard I just tried on my tablet and it brought up the keyboard but I have a Samsung tab.
My Grand daughters did the same thing. I did a hard reboot and tada.. It was back to working. Here a site (youtube that shows how to do it). Make sure the battery is charged beforhand. Upon first use, you have to charge the battery overnight. Then for every recharge, you may have to keep it connected to the charger for at least 4 to 6 hours depending on your tablet, otherwise, your battery will go kaputt in a short period of time.
