Hi i have the samsung ht q20 dvd cinema system, i recently put a code in the dvd to make it multi region however now it does not play any original or copy dvds at all... i read in a forum you can revert the player back to its original codex by reseting the unit however i cannot find a reset button on the unit ... please help...

While "NO DISC" message appears on the display of main unit, hold the main unit's STOP button for longer than 5 seconds. "INITIALIZE" appears on the display and all settings will return to the default values.
Using the RESET function will erase all stored settings.

Turn on the HT with no DVD. Press the following buttons on the remote: ENTER 8, 4, 2, 6, 9 ENTER
It will turn off. When turned again on it is a region free HT.

hi there! turn on the hometheater then wait for the no disc display, press the stop botton, do not release until the unit turn off, you will see the initial word on the panel,then try to play your disc

I have a sumsung dvd home cinema system ht.thx25 when I put a dvd in it says disc unknown but when I put a free dvd in from the newspaper it plays.

Is the disc just a regular disc, not HD or blu ray?
Is the disc a region 1 coded disc?

If it is, the unit should play it fine.
