Hello i have netgear wireless routet WPN824 v2 its work with laptop but when i attached with my office pc its doesn't work why pls tell me what can i do....

    ur laptop connected through wifi? how about ur office pc? does it wifi too? maybe u need to reconfigure your NetGear RangeMax WPN824

if you're online and loses connection every couple of minutes,that most likely be and issue with you ISP. it's intermittent connection issue with the server or might be the modem if it's more than a year.. better is to contact your ISP to check on their end,also to create a work order to investigate and monitor the issue.

Lost setup DC


The router is compatible with any operating system. You don't need to use the CD that came with it to setup the internet connection. Just open the router's setup page by typing http://192.168.2.1 on your browser. There you can see the automatic setup.

hi, try setting a predefined setting
Ip adress : 192.168.1.200 ( or any number not used by pc )
Dns : 192.168.1.1
Gateway : same as DNS

Try to reset the NetGear router and reconfigure it again Use the user manual for the procedure. If you can not locate the manual use this helpful website below there is 2 version of Wpn824 v2 and v3 but i think configuration should be the same Just pick one. And look under the

Upgrade the Firmware of the router :
First you should check the version of you WPN824 (v1,v2 or v3). If there are no Version after the model number, it should be a version 1. Download the Firmware of your router given the correct version at this link :

This is assuming that other wireless laptops has the same problem onyour wireless router. If other Laptops works great on your wirelessrouter without dropping any wireless connection, then you shouldconsider upgrading the wireless adapter on you own laptop.

***(If you haven't tried connecting otherwireless laptop wirelessly to the netgear, then you should try it firstto be sure that the netgear is the problem)

Steps on how to upgrade Netgear firmware :

  1. Download the correct file depending on your location and unzip the file to a convenient place such as your desktop.
  2. Log in the router at http://192.168.1.1 or http://192.168.0.1 (or www.routerlogin.net ) (Which ever will work)
  3. Default User name : admin / password : password
  4. Click Maintenance > Router Upgrade.
  5. Click Browse and locate the file you just downloaded.
  6. Click Upload. While the firmware is loading, do not interrupt the upgrade process.

***Therouter reboots when the upgrade is complete.
***Tocheck that the upgrade was successful, log in to the router again at http://192.168.1.1and check the firmware version.
***DONOT UPGRADE FIRMWARE USING A WIRELESS LAPTOP/PC

attach pc to router using the lan ethernet cable, switch on router, restart pc, then type 192.168.0.1 into your web browser, select admin as the admin and password as the password and then you should be in the routers menu.

Windows, if that's what you're using, may be connecting to a different router than yours. Verify that you're connecting to your access point.

Also, make sure there is a good connection between the router and your cable or dsl modem.

Finally, you can try connecting your computer to the router using an ethernet cable. That will at least let you verify that the computer and router work together, and you can configure the router and so forth. If connecting with a wire succeeds, that narrows the problem down to the wireless network connection.

Here's the manual. Troubleshooting is near the end, but it doesn't look like your specific problem is listed...
