Question about Panasonic KX-T7633 Corded Phone
I am a new employee at a small mtg co. I have been given the assignment of learning about the phone system (EVERYTHING), and I am clueless. Our local Panasonic dealer said that he is the only one that can make the main phone lines ring to one extention, then to another, and yet another before the call is sent to the answering machine. Is this true? He has screwed it up twice and it takes about 2 months to get him here. Can I fix it myself? I am also wondering if any panasonic dealer anywhere in the world could help me with my phone system, or do I have to use a local dealer. I only have one in my area and he really is not the best!!
He's right, you can't do it normally. However, he's not the only Lone Ranger in the world.
It's a 4 step process to do what you're asking, so it's not exactly trivial. You set up call distribution groups and queueing time tables and define what happens at each step. The main problem is that it takes time to test and you have a greater chance to make a mistake because the queue time still has to be less than the Forward No Answer time :-)
It's a lot simpler to either give the customer access to the system, or set up remote maintenance to the system and avoid a site visit. Your installer can turn on certain features from a system phone to let you change some settings.
I would discuss your concerns with the dealer and ask his advice for a solution. Tell him the one where he camps out at your place for a day is not acceptable and that you need to resolve this problem.
Worst case, try www.kxt411.com and find a different dealer.

a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
