Question about Dishwashers
GE Dishwasher (GSD650T-55WB) is leaking from the gate shaft seal (item 417 on parts list). Is it worth replacing this seal or the whole pump assy?
You can easily screw up the drain diverter arm trying to replace that seal. Repair is difficult. Pump assembly is rather expensive. (especially considering this was not a top of the line model) You would be much better off replacing the dishwasher. The new GE models are much quieter and have eliminated the center tower in almost all models.
