Hello hedrickcari
Welcome,

You said, you are getting a no flow error code. This washer was installed today. If I have an air pocket, how do you get it out so the washer senses the water flow?

First I would unplug the washer for 5 minutes and see if it resets and clears the errors!

Make sure the door is tightly closed. (Unlike top-loaders, front-loading washing machines must be closed in order for water to begin filling. Makes a lot of sense when you think about it.)

Then make sure the machine is plugged in to a live (or working) electrical outlet. It's a good idea to check the appropriate circuit breaker and reset it if needed or check the fuse if you have a fuse box.

Next, turn the control dial to the proper cycle and push the START/STOP button firmly. Then turn both faucets (hot and cold) on all the way. Take a look at the inlet hoses (which go from your pipes to your washer) and straighten them out if necessary.

Turn off the faucets and then disconnect the hoses. Clean the hose filter screens to remove any blockage that could be plugging up the water line.

Then replace the filter screens, reconnect the hoses, turn the faucets back on, open and close the door, and push the START/STOP button firmly one more time.

You should be rewarded with the sound of water beginning to fill up your Maytag® Neptune® washer. If you aren't, please contact Customer Service at 1-800-688-9900.

Error code of NF (no fill) on samsung top load washer (WA422PRHDWR/AA) even after checking lines for restrictions and ensuring clean line filters (red and blue). Now, when it does work, it will only do a...

Put the temp select switch on HOT, start machine. If water comes out check the flow amount. If no water flow, replace inlet water valve. If there is water flow switch to COLD, start machine. If water comes out check the flow amount should be approximately equal or slightly more than flow on HOT. If no water flow, replace inlet water valve. Move selector to WARM, start machine. Now there should be twice the flow of water than there was with HOT and COLD temps. I suspect it is the HOT side of inlet water valve that has failed because machines usually rinse with COLD water.

Error codes

Samsung Washer Fault Codes
4E WATER SUPPLY ERROR Water Supply Error occurs when water level frequency does not show changes more than 100Hz or water is not supplied up to the preset water level after 10 Minutes or more at the time of initial water supply. The error status can be cleared by turning the POWER switch OFF and back ON.
5E WATER DRAIN ERROR 5E is displayed if the water level frequency detected is 25 KHz or less in the initial phase of the UNB -detecting cycle. The Water Drainerror can be cleared by turning POWER SW OFF and back ON.
oE OVER-FLOW ERROR Over-Flow error occurs when the water level is too high. It can be cleared by turning POWER switch OFF. Water is drained prior to POWER switch OFF. The tub is drained for 2 minutes if a frequency of more than 25 KHz is detected.
UE UNBALANCE ERROR Laundry load is unbalanced, manually loosen any tangled laundry.

If only one item of clothing needs washing, such as a bathrobe or jeans, the final spin result might be unsatisfactory and an UE error message will be shown in the display. Unbalance error is cleared by POWER switch OFF and back ON.
HE WATER HEATER ERROR HE, HE1 is displayed if the water temperature rises by 7 C or more in 1 Min or by 2 C or less 20 Min after heating process has started. The error can be cleared by turning POWER switch OFF.
1 E WATER PRESSURE SWITCH ERROR * Generated Frequency Signal of WATER LEVEL (WIL) SIW (KHz)

Normal Level = Abnormal W/L Frequency
Low Level = 30.00 Khz High Level = 15.00 Khz

If the same signal is detected for more than 5 seconds, it is aPRESSURE SWITCH Error. When this error occurs the drain pump will operate for 3 min. and the display will show 1 E indicating a pressure switch error.
cE ABNORMAL WATER TEMPERATURE ERROR e.g. If the water temperature is 50 C or more, during a Delicate or Wool cycle.

At the time of initial water supply, if the water temperature is not appropriate, the display will show cE. This error can be cleared by POWER SWITCH OFF.
11 E WATER LEAKAGE ERROR Water Leakage error occurs when the water drains naturally, (by leakage) after the washing program starts.
tE THERMISTOR ERROR This error occurs when the Thermistor circuit is abnormal or a voltage of O.2v or below or, 4.5v and over is detected. This error can be cleared by POWER switch OFF.
3E MOTOR RESTRICTION ERROR Hall Sensor is sensed every 5OOms. 1 second after motor starts to work.

If data of hall sensor is less than 2 (2RPM), the Washing motor will stop at once.

During Washing and Rinsing when a motor restriction is sensed, the motor stops and then proceeds to the next water -flow action. If the motor stops working and this happens in one direction ten times, "3E" Error is displayed.

During dehydrating. when a motor restriction is sensed. the motor stops working and then returns to the initial stage of the dehydration unbalance sensing cycle. After ten times, "3E" Error isdisplayed, When the motor Is told to stop because of an operating function. no error is shown.

Power 81W OFF can clear the motor restriction error.
8E OVER CURRENT ERROR IPM fault signal (this is caused by the overload of the MICOM INTO during motor action).

IPM: Integrated power module. The IPM controls the motor.

If the fault (low signal) happens to be sensed even once during the washing/rinsing stage, the motor stops immediately. However, during the dehydrating stage the signal is to be sensed, when the number of signals reads more than 6 per 500ms during the Washing or Rinsing cycle action.

If the motor stops working, in one direction ten times, "8E" Error is displayed.

During dehydrating, when the overload is sensed, the motor stops working at once and then feeds back to the initial stage of the dehydration unbalance sensing. When the feed back has occcurred twice, Error "8E" is displayed during the dehydrating unbalance sensing, No error happens by overload sensing. When it happens at more than 800rpm, the process is stopped compulsorily. Power Switch OFF can clear the overload error.

I get an NF error code and the washer sounds like it's filling, but never does, and then there is water in the detergent dispenser.

Hi

Thanks for using FixYa. Error NF means No Fill. The washer has tried to fill but was unsuccessful. NF indicates No Flow. There is something that is interrupting the inbound flow of water to the washer, either hot or cold. Sometimes this happens when water service in the area is interrupted, creating an air pocket that causing the water valve not to sense water. Try running the diagnostic test by:
  • Press the delicates and heavy soil keys together for 3 seconds.
  • You are in the service mode.
  • Now, press wrinkle free key, cold water should start entering.
  • Then, press the cotton sturdy and hot water should flow.
  • To exit the test mode, either unplug the machine or press the delicate and heavy soil again for 3 seconds.

Please do rate the solution if the issue is resolved or post a comment for further assistance.

Thanks

Keep getting fh code, replaced pressure switch, replaced flowmeter, noticed that the hot water would not shut off, even put on cold water only and hot water would still run. Machine is constantly sending...

the code means water inlet problem
Have the water flow meter checked or replaced. If the internal wheel sticks inside the meter, the CCU will think no water is entering the washer and give you this error code.
Do you notice an above normal amount of water in the washer when you notice the error code? This is a good indication the flow meter is faulty. You can obtain the part from Sears and install it yourself. Very easy fix.
The flow meter has a reed switch on the side of it.
Sometimes this switch fails and doesn't respond to the magnetic wheel inside the flow switch. It is suppose to provide a pulse action as the wheel turns. The CCU interprets these pulses to determine flow rate. Just because the wheel inside the meter turns, does not necessarily mean the reed switch is functioning. Exactly when do you see the hf error. At the exact moment you see the error is the washer's water level higher than normal?

A GOOD TIP IS: blow air back into drum and into the pressure switch. It will usually work after that!

Noritz tankless water heater gives error code 11

This worked for me in the same situation. There is a filter inserted into main gas/ water control valve that senses water flow restriction. The sensor is connected to the gas valve. If it senses inadequate water flow it tells the gas valve to shut down so the water in the heater won't boil. Very expensive part. If you do find the filter clogged, a sediment water filter shoud be install on the inlet side of the water piping.

Whirlpool Duet GHW9150P Front Load

Hello lilo1
Welcome

You said, You are getting an error code F/H but it works most of the time. Then it just quits
You may have low water pressure which the machine senses and after some minutes will shut down .
If any pump runs with insufficient water pressure it will burn out the pump so washers are made with auto shutoff's in those case it does shut off.
Check that the water valves are passing water out of the taps that are connected to the washer and they did not fail.
When you remove the water supply hose from the washer inlet, you will probably find the screens in the washer water inlet are blocked and need to be removed and cleaned off and then replaced.
Do not bend them up and you can re use them!
Below are causes and more remedies
Let me know how it goes!

Please remember to leave a rating?

F/H Error code

No water detected entering machine or Pressure switch trip not detected.

If after 30 seconds the control does not detect water entering machine and then valves will be turned off and the error code will be displayed.
Or
If the control has turned the water valves on and after 8 minutes the flow meter has detected 10.5 gallons of water passing through it, but has not detected the pressure switch trip, the valves will be turned off and the error code will flash.

Check/Repair
Press PAUSE/CANCEL twice to clear the display.
  • If there is no water in the unit:
    1. Make sure that both valves at the water source(s) are turned on all the way.
    2. Check for plugged or kinked inlet hoses or plugged screens in the inlet valves
    3. Verify inlet valve operation
  • If there is water in the unit:
    1. Verify Drain pump operation
    2. Pressure Switch Hose is in good condition and properly connected to Tub and Pressure switch
  • Verify there is not a siphon problem
  • Verify wire harness connections to:Inlet Valves, Pressure Switch, Drain Pump, Flow Meter, and Central Control Unit (CCU)
  • Check all hoses for possible leaks
  • Verify pressure switch operation
  • Verify flow meter operation
  • Verify CCU operation

FH error

You are correct..
FH is an indication the the machine is not sensing enough water flowing into the machine....
The only thing you can do without taking the machine apart is to disconnect the water hoses to the back of your machine and inspect the filter screens for any type of debris that might be restricting water flow into the machine. Typically, the cold water line is more susceptible to foreign matter than the hot waterline.
If screens appear OK then the problem may be with the water fill valve, water flow sensor, (flowmeter) water pressure switch or blockage in the water pressure switch hose.

However.. if everything is fine using just cold, verify hot water for proper pressure or possible kinks in the hose.
