I have a epson stylus 925 printer an when I print the ink either comes out with lines through the picture or in blotchy spots that bleed and make the picture look like a watercolor painting. I have glossy paper and checked the settings to fit my paper. I've done a headers cleaner an nossel check in the settings an it hasent helped if you can figure out what I might be forgetting or doing incorrectly let me know

Usually this type of problem is related to the paper choice setting in Printer Setup within your Graphics program. If you are printing from within Windows Preview, you would need to set the values first in the Printer property pages found from Start menu, Printers and Faxes. This leads you to the default setup for your entire system. So it is more preferable to open the image in a Program vs Windows Preview and from within the program usually you go to the File Menu and then Print Preview witch allows you to access the Printer property button and setup from there or you will see a Print Setup item to click on and access the properties just for this print job alone.

Does any of this help you or have you more to offer so I can more specific?

If so, use the comment box below to reply.

Thanks,
Worldvet

I have Epson stylus photo 925 and get horizontal lines on printed page. I have run the Print Head Alignment program but the printout is too light to see. Aolution?

Hi

I suggest you clean it manually by removing the print head and then rub the print head in a plain paper with isopropyl alcohol until ink flows. Return the ink cartridge into the printer and run the print nozzle for 2-3 times.

Please let me know if you need more help.

The jets are constantly needing cleaning...

Either you're using a low grade ink to refill the cartridges or you're not using it enough to keep the head clean. If the ink is allowed to dry on the print head, simply running the "Clean print head" function doesn't always get the dried ink loose. Remove the cartridge and CAREFULLY, clean it with damp toilet paper. Only go ONE DIRECTION when cleaning. SIDE TO SIDE. When it looks clean, check carefully for any left over fuzz. You can also clean the wiper inside the printer with a damp cotton swab.

Printer Head cleaning

I've encountered the same situation with my 925. It requires routine cleaning. Try using name brand ink if you aren't already. Cheap ink has a tendancy to dry and clog at a quicker rate. Also, be sure to turn off the printer when you are finished with it. From what I understand, when you shut it off, it caps the ink nozzles like putting the lid on a ketchup bottle.
When doing a job with lots of ink usage, use a quality paper and do a nozzle cleaning right before hand. Hope this helps.

Photo Printer

sina, Does the photo print good using photo paper? How regular of a paper? Do all other colors have ink? What program are you printing the photo from? Have you tried printing from a different program? Some programs send varying information to printers. If all of the above has been tried...uninstall the printer and download the newest drivers from EPSON and re-install the printer. Good luck Tim
