I just acquired a washer and dryer. "Calypso Elite Series"
The washer has a leak from the back panel and has had for some time.
The dryer has "E1" code and shuts off after it heats up even on the lowest setting. It will run continuously on air dry.
Can you help? Thanks Speedy
I had the same problem and it was fabric build up in the top of the machine. There is a little whole where the water comes in on the top and it was full of lint type material. I clean it out after laundry day every week and haven't had a problem since.

WATER IS NOT GOING INTO THE TUB, INSTEAD GOING OUT. GET A PAINT SCRAPER N PRY THE LID OPEN TO MAKE SURE THE TUB IS IN PLACE WHEN YOU MOVED IT. THERE'S TWO CLIPS BETWEEN THE LID PANEL AND THE MACHINE. PUSH IN HARD AND IT RELEASE THE LID PANEL. FROM THERE YOU WILL SEE THE TUB AND ALL THE WATER DISPENSING UNITS. IT COULD ALSO BE A RIP IN ONE OF THE HOSE WHEN YOU MOVED THE MACHINE. GOOD LUCK
I've had a similiar problem on my calypso. In my case the key pad would go dead after washing or pushing stop after a few minutes. If I unpluged the unit for a few minutes it would work again. This would appear to be in the controller board. I removed the board and inspected it finding no problems. After re-installing the board the washer appears to be working again. My conclusion is that there is a loose connector/connection. I'd suggest you remove and re-install all the connectors on the controller board. This is the board closest to the power chord.
If this is a Calypso, there are retaining clips holding the top down in the front of the washer. You will need to look along the seam where the top meets the front panel the washer about 2 inches in from each side. Using a putty knife, insert into the seam and push straight in while lifting on the top. The retaining clips will release and the top lifts up. It may take a second set of hands to make this a little easier. When you get the top lifted up, there will be a couple of screws holding the front panel in place. Remove them and you have access to the interior of the washer. If this is not a Calypso, please post back so I can give you correct advice. I hope this helps you.
The most likely thing to cause the code and the leak is the water pump. If the shaft seal on the pump leaks, the water gets into the drain pump motor and shorts it out. The code is telling you there is a high current/amp draw at one of the motors.
You can see if the pump is leaking by tilting the machine back, removing the screws that hold the bottom to the front edge of the machine and looking at the pump. If the pump is leaking, you will need a new pump and possibly a new motor control board.
Post back if you need further instructions and we will walk through the repair.
