Text messaging I am having a problem sending a text message. The message just goes to the outbox and just sits there. This was working before. The SMS icon is also grayed out. Please advise.

SOURCE: Vanishing of sms folder.

If after a hard reset the PDA doesn't give you back the sms folder, it is most likely to asume that a ROM reinstall must be done. If you have a USB sync cable, check the HP site and download the ROM version for your Ipaq. Carefull with the rom upgrade, it's a simple process but must be done with care and by the instructions given there.

SOURCE: SMS Inbox Disappeared

Hello Brian, The SMS folder dissapears most probably because another program interferes with it. The same happens on some HP's with camera, where this options dissapears from menu because of some user installed programs. In your case, it doesn't have to be a SMS - messaging related program, there are some compatibility issues and programs that apparently doen't have anything to do with messaging are causing this. You should first try a master reset (hard reset) (save your data first). However in some cases this doesn't help, even if the program that's causing the problem is removed, and you will need a firmware rewrite/update. In order to perform this, or if you don't want to risk performing it yourself please contact me on the live assistance for step by step instuctions. Good luck, Bogdan.

SOURCE: Text Message Failure

I simply uninstalled some Applications Softwares I downloaded from the internet. After which the problem was solved. I was able to send sms yet again. I later installed the Softwares I had uninstalled and my phone is back to normal.

Hi ! Every time I try to send a text message, it appears Memory full! Close some applications and try again.I did erase my pics as well as those file saved in my memory card, but it still hopeless. It's 3...

Go your message setting. There is option where you'll save your message and choose save to memory card.
Delete all message in inbox and outbox folder, delete all cache in your browser and close all active applications. Try to send text message.
If the notification "Memory full" still appear you must uninstall a one or more application (not just close it but uninstall it) to make some space in your phone memory. Choose application that you don't use the most.
If the problem persist, format your phone back to factory setting.

Hope this help and if helpful RATE please.

Text messages wont send, delete, or change status

I think your mobile is affected by virus. I suggest you to format your memory card and flash your phone. Dont use the backup you have taken other than the contacts. Load other things manually and frehly. hope this helps.!!

Cant send texts but can recieve them

This is almost certainly a problem with your phone not having the correct Message Centre settings (have you ever used this phone with a different carrier?).

The Message Centre number can be found in Messaging/Settings/Text Message/Text Message Centre. You will probably need to check with your Service Provider to get the correct number, although you may find it on their website.

Nokia n81 8gb cant send txts

If you can't send text messages the SMS settings of the service provider may not be saved on your phone. You should define a message centre on your phone for sending and receiving text messages.Contact your network service provider and they can send it to you..

Text is stuck in my outbox

I had this same problem. Deleting and clicking "yes" at the warning screen would not remove the message from my outbox and the message kept resending for days.

Solution: In the Outbox, click "Menu" > Empty Deleted Items. Click "yes" at the warning. The message should now be gone from your outbox and your text buddy should now be able to regain sanity.

T-mobile credited back the resent text messages when I called them.
