Are there any new washing machines made that still have direct drive. That means that the agitator has two pieces and is not just one part. I told my repair man that my dad had been in the appliance sales and repair for over 50 years before he passed away and he said that normally he doesn't tell people about the new washers as they would be too depressed to learn that they are all garbage. I forgot to ask if him if anyone still makes them with direct drive.

My kenmore elite 3T HE washer is trouble shooting on F-DL and it won't let me open the washer. I have tried unplugging it several times over the past few days and draining it, etc. But everytime I run it as a new empty load, it does it again.
