I have just replaced a flyback on a sharp 27J-S100 tv when i power up the set there is very loud arcing from the anode cap at the back of the tube and the screen is blank , what could be the cause and how do i fix it, many thanks Laurie.

I'm watching my television and go to cue up a program on the DVR. There was no picture. Thinking it recorded that way, I go back to regular cable programming to find there's no picture, just sound. That's all there is now. No picture, just sound. However, I can see the cable menus, so I don't think it's actually the picture. Help! I had to work late and I can't sleep! Could it be a problem with the HDMI cable?
