I'm willing to pay up to 100$ for an efficient blender.Every year I make my own pesto sauce(I puree basil with oil and garlic).Many blenders I've had are not good at pureeing basil leaves.There are still pieces of leaves left after I puree. I cannot remove the metal base of my blender. The heavy glass jar will not unscrew from the base. I believe that the gasket has ''frozen'' between the jar and metal base. I've tried removing the jar after putting it into the freezer for 1/2 hour. I've tried hot water both around and in the jar and base. Nothing works! What may I try next?
