I have a 2001 mercury villager that has a service engine soon light that is turned on. The first mechanic said that I needed to replace the catalytic converters. I took it to the next mechanic and he said that the computer will not read the codes. I then took it to auto zone and they said that it couldnt read the computer either. Is my ECU going out? Or is there another reason why they cant read the codes?
