Tip & How-To about Kitchen Ranges
There are a couple of things that you should include in your kitchen range repair question when you ask it on FixYa.com
1. Model Number
The model number can be located on the model/serial number tag that is located on the kitchen range.
Make sure you get the full model number from this tag and not the model number from the owners manual.
The model number from the owners manual only includes the first few digits of the full model number because they include that owners manual with many similar models of kitchen ranges.
With the full model number I'm able to look up factory service manuals, tech sheets, wiring diagrams, factory service pointers and so much more.
2. Detailed description of the problem
At the very least give a brief description of the problem you are having with your kitchen range.
Descriptions like 'My kitchen range don't work' is not very helpful.
Describe what is not working. For example is your kitchen range not heating? Maybe the burners on top the range heat, but the oven does not heat up?
The more details you can give the better. Instead of saying 'My kitchen range does not heat' you could go into more detail and say something like...
"I tried to bake dinner in my range and it does not heat up. All the burners on top the stove still work and when I tried to broil the oven seem to work ok. Why don't my oven work on the bake cycle?"
Following these couple tips can help you get a faster and more accurate reply to your kitchen range repair question.
