The iPod Touch comes with one year warranty from Apple in a
wrong or defective hardware and software, but the warranty does not cover
liquid. IPod Touch built after 2006 contain an integrated liquid contact
indicator senses the presence of water and is used to indicate when the device
was damaged by water.
1. Find the headset at the top left of the iPod Touch.
2. Looking directly down the hole of the connection. Make
sure you are in a well lit room to clearly see the hole. An amplifier this can
be used for a better view of the headset.
3. Look for a small dot that normally appears white or
silver. The point will change color, and was half or completely red or pink
when the phone is in contact with water.
