Tip & How-To about Facebook Computers & Internet

Unable to log in???

Logging in is, of course, important when accessing your profile on Facebook. Sometimes it just doesn't work at all! If all of a sudden it won't let you log on anymore, try a new browser like Mozilla FireFox or Chrome. If that doesn't work, do a restart of your computer. Yes, I know, it doesn't fix everything, but sometimes it works. If all else fails, contact Facebook by looking for the "Help" link on the bottom of the log on page. They could have a problem with your log in and can fix it if you cooperate. Though sometimes, you just have to be patient. Let time do it's thing and take a break from Facebook, that might fix it after all. Hope this helps ^_^

my partner has suddenly blocked me from seeing his profile tonight and wont answer his phone. Is there any way I can un do this. Im extremly worried. Claire

If someone has blocked you, there is no way that you can see their profile from your account. You can change this setting if you have his email and password. Also, you can see his profile if you know someone else who is friends with him on Facebook by logging on to their account and clicking on his profile.

t the send message and typs section is not there

Sometimes Facebook has little glitches like that. Try logging out and then logging back on. If that doesn't work shut down your internet browser and then re-login. Good Luck! Remember that Facebook has technical support as well, so if it is a problem with their system they can get working on fixing it.

forgot my email address for my facebook account

  1. If you registered a username, try logging in using your username and password. A username is your personalized Facebook URL (web address) and appears in the location bar of your browser after "http://www.facebook.com/" when you view your profile. After logging in, visit the Settings tab on the Account page to locate the email address you use to log in.
  2. Ask one of your Facebook friends to view your profile and send you the email address listed on your account.
    • To do this, ask your friend to click on the "Info" tab on your Profile page and scroll down to "Contact Information."
    • Once you receive this information, try loggin with that email address.
  3. If you have followed the steps provided above and are still unable to access your account, click here.

cant access my facebook account because email address o longer exists

Be forewarned: If you only have one email address associated with your account, losing access to your email could mean losing access to your Facebook. You can still access your account by using your email address and password. Also, you can find a lost password by mobile phone if you assigned one. If you forgot your password or email address, you can do the following:
From Facebook:
"If you registered a username, try logging in using your username and password. A username is your personalized Facebook URL (web address) and appears in the location bar of your browser after "http://www.facebook.com/" when you view your profile. After logging in, visit the Settings tab on the Account page to locate the email address you use to log in."OR "Ask one of your Facebook friends to view your profile and send you the email address listed on your account. To do this, ask your friend to click on the "Info" tab on your Profile page and scroll down to 'Contact Information.'"
