Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

What kind questions not to ask FixYa! about

Here at FixYa! we help our customers to the extent of our knowledge. However, there are questions/issues which NO ONE in the world can answer/fix. Here are examples of very bad questions to ask:

1. What is the location of a cellphone number's owner?
Why? FixYa! doesn't have the ability to do so and actually, no one does. You can try the FBI, maybe they can help you.

2. How do I process my passport?
Every country have their unique ways of processing government papers such as passports. FixYa! experts came from different countries and different walks of life. There is no such thing on our expertise list to assist customers in processing these forms.

3. What is the PUK code for my cellphone?
In the first place, PUK code came with the SIM Card and not with the phone. Providing the IMEI code of the cellphone will not even help.

4. What is the Windows XP/Vista/7 product key?
FixYa! does not promote piracy. We cannot provide these product keys to prevent piracy. A product key is only supposed to be used for one OS installation.

5. I want gprs settings on my HTC P3452 Mobile for bsnl service.
This settings can ONLY be provided to you by your mobile service provider.

6. I want to send a virus to cellphone from computer Problem.
Do you really think FixYa! will help you? NO! We are here to help people fix their issues not CAUSE problems.

***In short words, Don't ask stupid questions.

Please ask help for problems which will make everybody happy. Ask questions seriously to prevent disappointments.

lets be truthful and be honest. Who is a dummy here on Fixya.?

Hi Menachem:
Fascinating question.
I guess there are really two dummies.
- One is the person who posts an incomplete question and expects a perfect answer.
- The other is the FIXYA helper who provides an answer to those questions.
Question - Why won't my car start?
Answer - It's out of gas.
Reality - It's diesel and the battery is dead.

We can only help to the extent of our knowledge and the specifics of the question.

Welcome to FixYa, the world's largest product support community.

The main differences between a 32-bit versions of Windows and a 64-bit versions of Windows relates to memory accessibility.

A 32-bit version of Windows can access up to 4 GB of RAM whereas a 64-bit version of Windows can access from 1 GB of RAM to more than 128 GB of RAM.

Why are there so many stupid questions in here? The people don't describe their problems really well, and I want to help them, but can't... I just want to help people, that's all.

Many people cannot describe their issues correctly, sometimes due to a language barrier and sometime due to lack of knowledge of the particular equipment . But that does not stop us from helping. Just ask for them
clarification.Do your best as we all do.....

Good luck
