Tip & How-To about Computers & Internet

Wireless Mouse and Keyboards reconnecting

Not sure how helpful this will be to a lot of people but one of the common questions seems to be how to reconnect after changing batteries IE changed batteries and now my mouse/keyboard won't work at all.

Seems that most of the time people forget that they have to
1- push the connect button on the usb receiver and that should be right on top of the unit since these ones are not usually hidden and are easy to push without the paperclip
2- push the connect button on the mouse/keyboard (needs a paperclip)
Once that is done the devices should find each other and establish the connections to each other again. These connections should remain in effect until the batteries die on you again at which point you will need to do this procedure again.

Should also note that the connect buttons on either your mouse or keyboard are small buttons and usually recessed in the bottom of the devices, this keeps them from getting hit or pushed all the time, so a paperclip is usually recommended to push the buttons with. Also as a final thought connections need to be made fairly quickly so check out your devices to see where the buttons are located at and get your paperclip ready, you only have somewhere between 5-15 seconds to make the connection or else you have to start the whole thing all over again.

Hope this helps some of you

How to reconnect Wii remotes to your Wii

If you have a wii fit board you may want to take it out and tap the button a couple of times. I don't know what it does but it is the only thing that I tried that brought the hand back. Re syncing may have been helpful but not fully until the wii fit board activation.

Your question is in the title so I cant see your whole question. so I hope this helps.
Im going to guess your lens is not Auto Focusing?
Then First I would make sure the switch on th side is set af for auto focus. then I would check the connection. take the lens off and then reconnect it and make sure you feel or hear it click. if that doesnt work try changing the batteries even if the battery meter says they are good. Sometime the battery meter will get stuck.

I hope that was you question.
If not then contact me and I will answer your other question,

The only two things you can do to/for a digital camera is change batteries and change memory card. If your rechargeable batteries have been in use for a long time, they may be dying. You could try new rechargeable batteries. Your camera uses Smart Media which was never particularly fast. It too could be dying. Try a new memory card. If you are shooting in TIFF format, that could explain the lengthened time between shots.
