Best Way to Deinterlace VRO Videos - Convert VRO to AVI

.VRO files are created by DVD video recorders or camcorders with Mini-DVD disc using the DVD-VR format. The disc has a 'VR_MOVIE.VRO' file, containing the raw audio and video data for all video recordings. The recording metadata along with navigation data are stored in the 'VR_MANGR.IFO' file. A backup copy of this file (VR_MANGR.BUP) is presented as well. VRO Codecs: MPEG2, same as VOB but uncompressed raw video and audio. So in some cases you can treat the VRO files just like .VOB files, but in many cases you can not use, play or edit VRO file easily.

Audio Video Interleave (AVI) is a means of digitally storing audio and video media content in a file for playback. AVI-formatted files employ the file extension .avi. The header portion of the AVI-formatted file provides details about the file contents, such as width, height, and frame rate, while the chunks of information store the actual audio and video data. A key advantage of AVI format is its ability to be played on the majority of computers worldwide.

I have a magnavox ZV427MG9A DVD/VHS recorder. Recently I deleted all the titles/programs that I no longer needed so that I could reuse the disc for recording. I was able to record two programs fine, but when I went to record on the next program, the recording stopped after about 8 minutes. The disc showed that there was 4 hours of recording time left, and I did record on the correct speed to allow this, but the recording time would not go past approx. 8 minutes. And after that time, a message appeared saying "recording error: cannot record on this disc". Why this didn't appear before I went through the recording setup is strange--would have saved me alot of time and frustration. Any idea why I couldn't record past the first program, even though there was sufficient recording time, according to the disc?

Sorry to bother you sirs, but it seems that you know much about DVD Camcord playback problem. I have a question about my camcord video output format may i ask. I have a vro file that can'tbe recognized by my VLC player, so I use this VRO mp4 converter(http://www.videoconverterfactory.com/tips/vro-converter.html to convert the vro file to mp4. After that conversion process the .VRO file can be played again, but I do not know why the output has no audio output, no sound. Do you ever met such a kind of problem? VLC can play .VOB very well because I have checked. It should be similar to .VOB, but why VRO cannot be recognized by VLC Media Player, it doesn't make any sense. Is there any free and simple method to directly run .VRO file on my PC without using any third-party video conver

Editing videos taken from canon dc100 camcorder

I see here that . . .

"The DC100 takes 3-inch Mini DVD-R/RW discs, and like most of its competitors, can fit about 20 minutes of best-quality video on one. If you choose to initialize a disc for playing in a standalone player, the camcorder writes standard VOB files; if you initialize for future editability, it records in the VRO format. Windows Media Player can play the latter if you rename the file with an MPG extension, however the aspect-ratio information gets lost--that info is encoded into a separate file--so 16:9 video will get squashed into 4:3. "

Cnet Reviews.

Your videos are recorded in the common DVD format called MP2.
They have the extention .MPG so if you copy the video files to your computer, and change the end of the filename from VOB, or VRO to an MPG then your software can recognize it as the MP2 format that it is.

There is a Windows XP program, called Windows Movie Maker, it can open your video files and provide you with most of the video editing tools.

Cheers.

Archiving Digital Camcorder Video - Ideal Formats

Let's try to bottomline this. If you want said DVD to play in most players, you'll be encoding the video according to standards. The current DVD is MPEG2. At the current time, most people just have DV camcorders so you don't see the generational loss as you move the video from DV to DVD. At least I don't.
