How to drill in a PCB Board

PCBs or PCBs are pieces of hardware that electrical components such as transistors, capacitors, resistors and contain conversations recorded. PCBs in various electronic devices such as computers, radios, VCRs, DVD players can be found, game consoles and televisions. Most are prefabricated in mass production and bought a large amount of electronics manufacturers. If you are a board of your own design, and not to mount with epoxy glue, you can drill holes for the screws.


1. The plate on the area you want to mount. Mark the spots where the holes are for the electronic device with a fine tip marker to adjust.


2. Insert the card into a bank in an anti-static document and press the sharp tip of a drill 1mm bullet points to an indentation on the board to make.


3. Keep the plate covered with a hand in a glove anti-static. Holes in the areas pre-marked on a board with a bit of 1mm. Do not press the weight of the drill to drill holes.


4. The fine dust from drilling PCB by means of compressed air. If so, send them right on the device where it is installed to the line of eye protection.

If servicing records show that equipment manufactured after July 2, 1979, was serviced with fluid containing PCBs, may I still assume the equipment is non-PCB?


depends on the level of PPM PCBs

and questionable equipment used to manufacture fill fluid containing PCBs after any year
at a higher than industry stds .....should be de contaminated or disposed of correctly

thats three similar questions

yes it should be defined and recorded in ppm
natural gas is extracted from the ground and will defiantly have organic molecules in vapour form
same goes for oils, gas, electricity ,cooling systems , water and flammables piped anywhere in the world ......
....international stds are the norm
there are check valves , filters blow pipes pressure valves and other systems to eliminate any risks built in to the pipe line network

if you are employed in the industry there should be a big book some where in the office or work place with all you local and state regs
and hotline phone numbers to guide you


40 CFR ยง761.30(I) definitions
(l) Use in capacitors. PCBs at any concentration may be used in capacitors, subject to the following conditions:
(1) Use conditions.
(I) After October 1, 1988, the use and storage for reuse of PCB Large High Voltage Capacitors and PCB Large Low Voltage Capacitors which pose an exposure risk to food or feed is prohibited.
(ii) After October 1, 1988, the use of PCB Large High Voltage Capacitors and PCB Large Low Voltage Capacitors is prohibited unless the capacitor is used within a restricted-access electrical substation or in a contained and restricted-access indoor installation. A restricted-access electrical substation is an outdoor, fenced or walled-in facility that restricts public access and is used in the transmission or distribution of electric power. A contained and restricted-access indoor installation does not have public access and has an adequate roof, walls, and floor to contain any release of PCBs within the indoor location.

no sound coming from speakers


Look for a manual for your model look for the sounds circuit from out the power supply the basic dc what is neccesary and for a possible broken fuse resistor in the sound circuit or loose soldering on active components (the components with a heatsink)
like TDA kind of IC or transistor or any component that is in the sound circuit , because heat and bad solderings kan have made the problem or deformed capacitors can caused the problem. look also for heat discoloration and bad solderings on the electric board for resistors or other places that

I have a Bernina Sewing Machine with a Control Board that smoked


Bernina does not sell individual components for PCBs, rather they have an exchange program for the entire board. But you have nothing to lose and much money to save if you can obtain the parts and replace them yourself. You should be able to get the caps and resistors from any electronics supply.

Onkyo TX-DS494 stereo receiver won't turn on.


First, check which type of protect first.

Symptoms:
3 seconds (DC protect) OR immediately shut down (Over Current protect)

How to confirm?
1.Unplug the amp.
2.Remove the metal cover.
3.You will see a long vertically installed pre-amp board mounted next to those large power transistors fixed by 12 screws on a large aluminium heat sink.
4.Remove this long vertically installed board mounted by 2 screws.
5.With 2 screws removed, just pulling this board out and hold it with one hand.
6.Plug the amp and switch it on.
7.If your amp stays ON forever, the problem is from this long board.
8.If switch off at once, the problem is from power amp board.
Try the above- mentioned steps. If DC protect, write an email to me via searching you tube SR600 capacitor replacement. Don't be afraid.

If over-current protect do the
following steps
(O)unplug the amp.
(1)download DS-TX494 service manual.
(2)open the amp metal cover.
(3)measure 7 large white resistors resistance loacated next to power transistors mounted on a large heat sink with black probe touching the middle pin and red probe to first/left or third/right pin.
(4)If this 3 Pins large white colour 0.22ohm x 2 resistor is open with infinity ohms ,
(5)replace it and jot down this channel for example left surround faulty. Usually only 1 channel went faulty.
(5a)When the white resistor didn't burn, "2 channels" were damaged due to bad soldering joint of the large white resistor, however.
(5b)When this happened, time taken of shut-down due to over-current is 3 seconds NOT immediately.
(6)the two large power transistors next to this white resistor 0.22 ohms x2 should also be replaced.
(7)plug the amp
(8)switch it on
(9)if ok, troubleshooting get done
(10)if not ok
(11)replace ALL the components of this power amp channel.
(12)pre-amp section no need to check.
remember if not OK, the replaced 0.22ohm x 2 resistor and 2 power transistors maybe shorted again. Check them first. If OK, replace ALL Components in this channel except 0.22 ohm x 2 and 2 transistors. 0.22 ohm x 2 means left and middle pin 0.22 ohm as well as right and middle pin also 0.22 ohm that are 2 pieces of resistors with 0.22 ohm in a large white 3 pins resistor.
Remember sometimes the
0.22 ohm white resistor is normal. If so, use a digital multimeter to measure the be bias transistor voltage via multimeter diode test function. You can compare the normal value,580mV to 650mV with faulty one,3.2mV. And the CE resistance is 1.8ohms only instead of 3 Mega ohms.
