According to Microsoft, Windows Server 2008 is an award-winning
system that allows IT professionals more reliability and flexibility
with their server infrastructures. The newer Windows Server 2008 R2
utilizes much of the same coding as Microsoft Vista and features

enhancements. Additionally, the system's Windows 7 integration helps to
save both time and money, and provides a platform for a dynamic and
efficiently managed data center. Tools such as Internet Information
Services version 7.5, Server Manager and Hyper-V platforms, and Windows
PowerShell version 2.0 give customers greater control. Often, though,
it's simple tasks like resetting a user password that keep IT
administrators busy on a day-to-day basis.
As long as you have administrator-level access to your Windows Server 2008 machine, resetting Windows Server 2008 password becomes a quick task once you know where to look. Step 1: Log into the Windows Server 2008 administrator account using the current password.
Step 2: Click the Windows "Start" button, select "Control Panel," and then click "User Accounts."
Step 3: Click "Add or remove user accounts," and then click "Continue" when prompted to confirm your choice.
Step 4: Select the administrator account and click "Change the password."
Step 5: Type the current password in the "Current password" field, type the replacement password in the "New password" field, and then confirm your choice by typing it again in the adjacent "Confirm new password" field.
