In windows operating system it is very simple to rename a group of files in a folder.
step 1:go to the folder where the group of files are located.
step 2:right click on the empty space of the window.
step 3: select "new",then select "text document".
step 4: open the newly created text document by double clicking it.
step 5: then type in the the following command "@ren".
there are some more texts that should be entered after "@ren",those texts are associated with the contexts which are discussed after the next step.
step 6:save the file as ren.bat in the same folder.double click the file ren.bat to carry out the batch file renaming.
context 1: suppose u dont want to change the name of files on the folder but u want change the extension u want to change a group of files having '.exe' extension to '.zip' extension, then at step 5 enter the following commands..
"@ren *.exe *.zip"
context 2:suppose if u want to add a phrase as a preflix or as a suffix to a group of file, say u want to add the word "sony" as a prefix to a group of photos of extension in a folder then at step 5 enter the text as
"@ren *.jpg sony*.jpg"
if u want it as suffix,then write
"@ren *.jpg *sony.jpg"
then follow remaining steps

To download and use the
Network Connection Repair Tool, follow the steps below:
1.
Make a temporary
folder on your computer's hard disk as the location to save this
file.
2.
Open an Internet
browser and browse to the following link. We recommend using Internet Explorer.

3.
Choose your
Product Group, Model, and click View.
4.
Click on the link
under Your Results.
5.
Under Step 1:
Select OS, select your operating system.
6.
Under Step 2:
Select Language select your language.
7.
Click on the
SEARCH button.
8.
Scroll down to the "Network Connection Repair Tool" and click
on Information & Download
9.
Click on the
Download button.
10. On the Software End-User License
Agreement page click I ACCEPT if you agree to the terms.
11. Click SAVE.
12. You will be prompted to save the file
again. Browse to the folder you created earlier. Double click
(My) Computer => Local Disk (X:) => Brotemp and click
SAVE. The file will download.
13. Once the download is complete, click
OPEN FOLDER or browse to the folder where you downloaded this
file.
14. Locate and double click on the
nettool_XXXX.exe file. A zip self decompression window will launch,
click on DECOMPRESS(X).
