Ways to Reset Windows Password Without a disk

When logging on to your Microsoft Windows computer, you may be required to enter a password before you can use the computer. If you would like to change the Windows password for security or any other reason, you can easily do so. However, you may need to have a password reset disk. Resetting the log on password takes only a moment to complete.

Two Options provide for you if you do not have a password reset disk yet as follow.
Option 1: if you have another availble admin level account and password Method 1: Lusrmgr.msc
1. Click Start button, type lusrmgr.msc in the text search box and press Enter.
2. The Local Users and Groups Windows will come up. Double-click the Users folder, and all user accounts on the computer will be listed.
3. Right-click your target account and click Set Password.
Method 2: Netplwiz/control userpasswords2
1. Click Start, input netplwiz or control userpasswords2 in the text search box and hit Enter.
2. The user accounts management window will come up. Select your target user account and click Reset Password. And now, you have sucessfully done the Windows password recovery.
Option 2: if you are a guest or can not logon with the administrator account. Method 1: Take a freeware in usage: Ophcrack
Ophcrack is a free password recovery program that is used by system administrators. It uses an older system called Rainbow Tables, invented by the same original developer. Windows XP

Try clicking "Cancel" to proceed. If that doesn't help try entering computer name in both user and password fields.
