How to repair and wipe your BlackBerry smartphone with java errors or white screen

Disclaimer: If your BlackBerry will not boot up at all, and is stuck on the white screen, your information is gone forever. We cannot save any of it at this point. If your BlackBerry WILL boot up, we'll make sure to back it up. This will get your BlackBerry to act like it is completely new. This will fix all JVM errors (507, 545, 523, etc.)

  1. Download JLCMDER from here (click I want to wait in the bottom right)
  2. Make sure you have the BlackBerry desktop manager installed. If you don't, get it from here.
  3. Plug your device into the computer via the USB cable that came with your phone. Skip to step 5 if your BlackBerry will not boot at all.
  4. Open desktop manager, let your phone connect, and then do a full backup. (Device -> Backup, full backup.)
  5. Launch JLCMDER and follow the onscreen instructions: 1) Press any key. 2) N - unless it locks with a password 3) 4 4) y 5) BlackBerry. This may take a few attempts, so just keep trying it!
  6. Download the most recent BlackBerry OS from here - make sure you pick the right carrier.
  7. Delete the following file - C: -> Program Files -> Common Files -> Research in Motion -> Apploader - > vendor.xml
  8. With your BlackBerry still plugged in, launch the Desktop Manager and under Summary, there should be an update OS button. If that does not exist, launch loader.exe from the above folder (apploader) and use that.
  9. Follow the instructions for either of those options, and then wait. It may take over half an hour the first time.

I am having a problem with my computer i keep getting a messaget that says bootmgr is missing ?

Insert the Operating System Software that came with your lap top then go to repair your computer it should repair the boot mgr issue. The boot files got corrupted. Your manufacturer CD restore disk should fix this. Shut down the lap top place disk in the drive and restart the computer it should boot up with the CD or DVD boot there first. Then follow the on screen instructions for repairing your computer.
If this does not work you may have to re-install the complete system again. When I start getting messages like this or things go wacky this is what I do and it is done fresh and ready to go some folks do not go this route and spend days in question or asking for a fix by the time you get one it is complicated when all you had to do was restore the computer.
Make sure before restoring your computer to save all important information first, if this is not the case then it will be gone forever. Imperative that everyone start saving your important information to external sources so when things like this happen. You can place it back after a restore has been done. Good learning lesson! John

Blackberry Bold fails to boot up

Try to restore the blackberry without the battery inserted. Google instructions on how to upgrade the BB firmware. Does the device seem to boot normally, but with a white screen? Then it's a broken screen. Does it not seem to boot even after the firmware restore or the restore error out - then it's a broken motherboard. Both can be replaced fairly easily. Here is an Blackberry Repair Guide that shows how to open a Blackberry. If you want somebody else to do it for you go to Blackberry Repair.
