Tip & How-To about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console

How to resolve Xbox 360 disc read errors. Xbox will not play disc.

Is your xbox360 having trouble reading disc? In this guide I will provide some common solutions to help you fix your disc read issues.

1)Remove any memory devices or usb flash drives.
2)If the disc you are using is excessively scratched, this can cause the xbox to have trouble reading the disc. You can use a damp soft cloth to try and clean the disc. Grab the disc by the edges and using a soft damp cloth lightly wipe the disc from the center going outward.

3)Try removing your Xbox hard drive and then play a disc. Turn off the console. Locate the hard drive on the top of your system(depending on how you have it positioned). Press the release button on the hard drive.

If your system can read disc without the hard drive attached then you may need to replace the drive.

4)Clear the Xbox360 cache. Clearing the cache may remove updates to certain games. Keep this in mind.
Go to System Settings in the My Xbox menu. Select Memory, highlight your storage device and select Clear System Cache. Try and play the disc.

If after the above steps you are still having trouble. You may want to contact Microsoft Xbox live support to have your system serviced. You can find the support information in the link below,

Ive Answered A question Exactly Likethis..

So whats causing this problem eh?

Well this problem is down and due to your Xbox360 Because the Pressure magnet inside your Hard drive is Sticking to the game <-- basically the magnet is a holder inside your hard drive a little handy device that makes your game not fall so its Rumaging around in your Hard Drive Loose Thats why when people KNOCK down there Xbox360's when there up and ON with a DISC inside. Thats how they get SCRATCHED.

What tools do i need to fix this problem?? Read below.

You Need EITHER : A Credit Card
A Peice of strong Paper i.e thin card board
A Xboxlive Subscription Card

Either one of those things to do the job.

Step 1. Make sure THERE IS a disc inside your Hard Drive And Keep the DISC TRAY CLOSED.

Step 2. Point the Card Infront of your Disc Tray And Move it to the Left and Put it in the Gap. and Move it to the left and right abit. Basically Wiggle it about inside your Xbox. ** This Does Not Void Warrenty , Cause Disc Failure , Or Scratch Discs. **
Anything that does Break will be your own fault for not following Instructions.

Step 3. Once inside and you've wiggled it about for 2 - 3 minutes... It will Unloose the Magnet Causing your game to come undone and then you " EJECT THE GAME " I repeat " EJECT THE GAME " from the DISC Tray. and Place it back in. and start up the game and then it should get past Loading Screen etc. and Be fixed.

Now I cannot guarentie that this will stay like this for along time. so I suggest you get your Xbox Fixed VIA Warrenty If you still have 1year. if you Foolish People Brought yours off Ebay then I have a solution too.

Pop down to GAME and Sign up for there Unlimited Warrenty xbox360 for £50 - £60 a Month. or Year i carnt remember. It might be a year.
And Theyfix it for you.

And I suggest you ALL DO THE SAME! :)

Thanks For Reading this Solution. I do Very Hope this has helped you people.

Please Rate me Etc. :) Thanks
