Tip & How-To about Cell Phones

Screen black Motorola RAZR V3

Opened torx screws as above, found connector after separation of bezel, careful not to lose screws or rubber plugs (reglue with rubber cement) or the keys (which have a direction to them)...connector for camera is easy (goes to camera, duh!) ...other (white) one is for screen(s) ...pushed it in, screens back ...had to open it again 'cuz it came loose again ...cleaned with RadioShack Control/Contact Cleaner & Lubricant #64-4315 ...pushed it back in very well until I felt it "seated" ...all is fine now...lost 1 of the rubber bumpers ...bought on ebay or from cnn.cn ...all this is for RazrV3 fone... look here for guides: http://incipiotech.com/moto/motorola_v3_housing_guide.PDF and also here: http://www.cellexcompany.com/install/v3_install.pdf ...I had torx drivers and open tool ...cannot be done without torx driver ...can use edge of credit card instead of open tool ...overall VERY EASY to do for even silly me who dropped fone on bathroom floor!!
So Thanks

how do I take out the screen on my HP G71 -329WM laptop

I have a HP Pavilion zv6000 laptop and have replaced both the screen and the hinges, plus a few friends laptop screens all the same way. First remove the battery and unplug the laptop. To replace the screen you will need to to remove the hard drive and remove all the screws form the underside of the laptop to allow access to the underside of the keyboard as the connectors for the screen are under the bezel above the keyboard. Opening the lid all the way will make it easier to get under the keyboard t and bezel then disconnect the power, video signal, and wifi connectors. Might be 1 or 2 or 3 separate connectors. Carefully removed the rubber plugs from the front of the screen and stored them so you didn't loose them. Using a small screwdriver, remove the screws under the plugs. Using a flat screwdriver or small thin blade, carefully separate the bezel around the outside of the screen, it may be glued together so take care not to crack the plastic. At this point would can see the screen screwed in to the hinges and the back of the lid and what screws need to be removed. The wifi antenna is usually attached to both the screen and the lid via tape so take care when removing the screen. Place the new screen back and attach the hinges and connectors, making sure to place the wifi antenna back where it was located properly. At this point I plug in the laptop and verify the HP logo or POST screen appears whe I turn it on, showing that the connections are ok before unplugging and continuing to replace the remaining screws, hard drive and finally battery. Depending on how the bezel around the screen is attached, you might want to use double stick tape as the glue no longer holds the front and back together around the screen. Depending on how mechanical you are, figure between 30 and 60 minutes to replace the screen the first time.

Remove four screws found under seals.
Start remove the screen bezel with your fingers. Proceed slowly while removing the bezel.
Carefully separate the display cover from the screen and access the LCD cable connector
You’ll have to unplug the LCD cable from the screen.
First, unglue the clear sticky tape securing the connection.
Second, unplug the LCD cable from the connector on the screen.
Here’s how you can remove the LCD screen.
Simply remove four screws securing the LCD screen to the display hinge. Remove four more screws from the other side of the screen.

Motor replacement for Rainbow D4se

From the bottom, remove the screws separating the top and the bottom. Then at the bottom, remove the round water seal, take out those screws, ( careful with the water seal, reglue it with contact cement when you put it back on). At the top of the motor, take out the scres around the motor and it should pull out.

my cell phone screen dont work ...help

This is a common problem, it has to do with the keypad flex. either the connector on the top part of your phone is unpluged or your flex is damaged. Open the top of the phone where the screen is at (4 torx screws) genlty remove the cover. you will see two connectors, one that goes to the camera, the other is the one you want. genlty pry it off upwards, I would also clean it with some IPA (rubbing alcohol) and a brush, re-connect it pushing down firmly, you will fill it when it connects. if it doesnt work, you can purchase a new flex, if you need repair help, let me know I can try to repair
