What media card does fujifilm digital camera S7000 use

You have a choice. Your Fuji S7000 accepts both xD cards and CF cards (Compact Flash).

xD cards to a maximum capacity of 512MB are supported, and you can also use CF cards to a maximum capacity of 1GB, but in my experience the camera was a bit unreliable when using 1GB cards so it's best to go no larger than 512MB even with CF.

CF cards are cheaper, more widely available and have faster transfer rates than xD. If you accidentally delete or reformat the card or if it gets corrupted in any other way then it's far easier to recover useful data from a CF card.

512MB cards are no longer widely available in shops but are still easy to buy online. Alternatively, you may wish to ask friends and relatives or ask on your local FreeCycle/Freegle groups as 512MB is now largely obsolete and have no resale value so many folks have them lying around in drawers and dead cameras. Just make sure to reformat them by using the erase function in your camera before trying to use them. You'll find out how to do so on page 71 of this free download of your user manual. (It was scanned at two pages per screen, so you'll find page 71 on page 36 of the .pdf document).

Canon 40D and 64Gb CF Card

What i find is that the larger the card the slower the write recovery in taking pictures. If you are an action photographer this is a pain as things happen fast . To have the camera take so long to recover from a write leaves you open to losing some excellent shots. So my rule of thumb is use smaller value cards. If you are just a happy shots photographer then this probably doesn't really matter.

Thanks for using Fixya

New SanDisk 4GB CF Card - Coolpix displays out of memory

This is because the Coolpix 2100 and 31000 models cannot handle a card of that large a capacity. As it's only a 2MP camera anyway it doesn't need it.

The Coolpix 2100/3100 will usually accept up to a 512MB CF card, and 1GB Lexar CF cards up to and including the 24x WA write accelerated (although write acceleration itself offers no benefits on this camera). With Sandisk only a plain old and now obsolete SDFB allows a 1GB card to be used and the regular Sandisk Ultra (not Ultra II or later) will only work up to 512MB.

The camera was discontinued long before these much larger CF cards were released and Nikon no longer actively support the product so no firmware updates will be available. The hardware wouldn't support such cards anyway.

Capacity of cf card to be used with a60

According to Canon's website, the limit is 256MB. You could try it with a larger card, though. Nothing bad will happen to the camera, and it should either work fine or not at all.
