When you need to reset Windows XP password, what will be the possible reasons? In my opinion, there are mainly two kinds of reasons. For one reason, you may have a good habit of resetting or changing your Windows XP password regularly to help keep your PC secure, as everyone knows. For another reason, you are locked out of the computer, like forgetting Windows password or buying a password protected notebook, etc. But no matter what the reason is, it's better for one to master some solutions on how to reset Windows XP password, if he still sticks on a Windows XP machine. Why do companies more like Windows XP instead of other systems?

I think peopel are used to Windows XP's peration mode and interface's functions. Or maybe is Windows XP's good compatibility. In my opnion, security is also the reason. With it I think the possibility of meeting password lost for Windows XP is low.

i forgot my password how do i log on

Hi,

This is only possible is you are using Windows XP. If your operating system is windows Xp, follow the steps below:

  1. Turn on your computer and allow it get to the stage where is will ask for user/log pasword
  2. Press Ctrl + Alt + Del your keyboard.
  3. A user name and password prompt will pop up.
  4. On the user name type in "administrator
  5. On the password, type in "administrator"
  6. and you windows will open, go to control panel from there to change the password.
That's all. In other words, the user name and password is administrator.

But in the case of windows Vista, you will have to re-run windows operating system, because vista security is very tight and its difficult to break into its password.

Take care.

Windows XP Pro. driver for the acer LCD Monitor X193W

Hi,

To my knowledge, it is compatible and certainly would work with XP. Since this monitor has both DVI and VGA inputs make is compatible for most video cards or even a built-in video of the PC. If for some reason the Acer X193W would not work with your Windows XP PC, possible reasons are:
  • Screen Resolution and/or Screen refresh Rate of the PC's Display Properties too high, try lowering them down;
  • hardware fault either on the monitor or video card;
  • incorrect/missing drivers of the video card;
  • it is being hooked as a secondary monitor and the dual/twin view is not activated.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information. Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
