Always look for Video Splicing tape on google

Never!!! Never use Scotch tape on your audio or videotape, eventually a chemical reaction will cause the glue to melt down and leak to adjacent parts of the tape and damage it beyond repair. You can only compensate for minor scratches. As for the vcr side the rollers could be dirty or the brake worn out. The tensioner may be too sensitive as well. Basically the mechanism probably needs servicing.

When I make a photocopy from the input feed (not the glass) I get a grey/black line down the page. How can I fix this?

Open the ADF....at the side of the large glass you will see a thin strip of glass maybe about 1/4 ~1/2 inch wide...there is probably some corrector fluid or glue or scotch tape on the **** of glass causing the problem.

both Catalytic converters glowing red , plz adv how to get them fix????

Hot catalytic converters indicate too much fuel in the exhaust. This can be caused by poor ignition/misfiring, a problem with fuel/air ratio, ignition timing, cam to crank timing(timing belt/chain).
Catalytic converters have the capability to break down excess hydrocarbons by process of chemical reaction. The more fuel, the more heat. The problem is that they will eventually melt and plug up. So I suggest you repair soon.
