Disable low disk space message

  1. Click Start, click Run, type regedit, and then click OK.
  2. Locate and then click the following key in the registry: HKEY_CURRENT_USERSOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionPoliciesExplorer
  3. On the Edit menu, point to New, and then click DWORD Value.
  4. Type NoLowDiskSpaceChecks, and then press ENTER.
  5. On the Edit menu, click Modify.
  6. Type 1, and then click Ok.
(make registery backup)

Note There is a registry value you can set to disable this feature. To disable low disk space checks, follow these steps, log off, and then log on again: Follow these steps, and then quit Registry Editor:

cd and dvd drivers not working


If the drive is showing an error (or is missing) in device manager, do the following:

Start Registry Editor (Start, Run and type in regedit then click O.K)
Locate the UpperFilters value under the following key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.
Locate the LowerFilters value under the same key in the registry:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Contro l\Class\{4D36E965-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}
On the Edit menu, click Delete, and then click OK.
Quit Registry Editor.

my dvd driver missing from the system,i can't use it
